Delightfully slow to get to you have almost joined the movement Go Slow Britain on arrival, no quick motorway access to the North Norfolk coast not even a dual carriageway within 25 miles!
Churches & Pubs – I was told there was a different church for every Sunday of the year and a different pub for every day of the week. It may be true? At every turning you will find Norfolk Churches mostly open and welcoming.
In most villages, towns and of course the county capital Norwich traditional pubs are to be found, welcoming. The good food and ale often reared, grown and produced in county.
Coast & Countryside – the Quiet Lanes network threads across North Norfolk joining towns to villages and winding their way down to the coast, it is a great way to see the beauty of the county at a slow, very slow pace. When you emerge from the natural beauty of the countryside at the coast you can’t fail to be impressed, from Hunstanton to Great Yarmouth the variety of beaches is astonishing true natural beauty is found on Norfolk’s Beaches
House & Gardens – at Barn & Beach we have a couple of favourites; the nearby gardens at East Ruston Old Vicarage are a marvel, the fruits of independent owners vision and hard work. Alternatively for a day trip to the gardens at Hindringham Hall
Of course Norfolk also has many National Trust properties and gardens to enjoy too.
Towns & Cities – The city of Norwich has so much to offer the visitor it deserves a page of its own! Some of the traditional market towns are a joy to discover the most famous of which Holt is a must see destination for all visitors.
