National Trust days out Part 1 – Sheringham Park

Sheringham Park – what does it evoke thoughts of? Rhododendron, Rhododendron and then more Rhododendrons! Every Tuesday from 2pm until the 12th June 2012 you can walk with the head gardener to see the mass of colour provide by the Rhodo’s…… and the Azaleas!

The cost of this tour, £5, a great way to spend a late spring afternoon in the company of the head gardener ‘Graham’ at Sheringham Park

Through May and June the park has many events, you may wish to join the ‘Rhododendron Party’ to book call 01263 820 550 Formal dress and wellies are optional from 7 –11pm.

Need to stay over? Accommodation can be booked with Barn & Beach B&B or self-catering options available.

A recent guest @barnandbeach and her family went down to the woods in May and found a big surprise! The fellow below was enjoying Sheringham Park its wild garden and rich foliage and no doubt a small mammal or two

Sheringham Park does theatre, Oscar Wilde’s comic masterpiece ‘The Impotrance of Being Ernest’ is the open-air theatre event on Saturday 30th June at 7pm.

We recommend the monthly walks at 2pm 1st Sunday a guided ramble (free) 3rd Sunday a Historic walk (£2) children free for both events.
