North Walsham Market day 1

The market town of North Walsham is the largest market town in North Norfolk, it has a vibrant centre on Thursday mornings when the weekly street market arrives.

Today it was a lovely summers morning; the sunshining, it certainly enhances the colours of the market, the people seem jollier and the produce smells so good.

Approximately four miles from the Barn & Beach holiday homes it makes a nice distraction to pop along to stock up at traditional and inexpensive, fruit, meat, egg and fish stalls;

Great value and fresh produce are buzz words you hear from the locals who are a discerning bunch indeed.

There is also always a colourful flower stall selling cut flowers, pot plants, bedding plants and vegetable plugs. Great value and worth taking a few home as souvenirs of the area.

In addition to the Thursday market once a month we have the Farmers Market too, its the last Sunday of each month and brings a totally different set of traders to the town, look out for details on twitter @NWFarmersMkt … I will be photographing and writing about the stalls and produce this Sunday, North Walsham Market 2, please drop by and enjoy the towns festival and parade into the bargain.

North Walsham farmers Market and festival this Sunday 28th June 2015 from ten o’clock onwards.
