What goes on behind those closed doors? Take a sneaky peek and find out with a small group tour. There’s a steep climb to the attics to see where some of the RAF personnel slept during WWII.  Booking essential 0844 2491895 £6 per person.

Hellebore Heaven

Saturday 2 to Friday 8March

Blickling’s fabulous 55-acre garden has a fantastic display of hellebores, with clusters of blooms throughout winter and early spring.  We focus on this beautiful herbaceous perennial with hints and tips from our expert gardeners.  Hellebores on sale.  Usual garden admission applies (NT members free) No booking required.

Mothers’ Day Tea

In celebration of the mothers and all the special women in your life. Gather the family and come to Blickling Hall for a delicious afternoon tea served in Lord Lothian’s study.  £17.95 per person.     Booking essential 0844 2491895.

We welcome back items from our collection after their short winter break. This year, discover more about Blickling’s cassonne, or painted wedding chest, which has been away for a year undergoing conservation and restoration. Usual house admission applies (NT members free). No booking required.

Spring Flowers in Watercolour

15 March to 17 March 2013

This weekend is suitable for beginners or those who would like to learn further techniques to improve their work. Individual attention will be given, with consideration of personal style. Working inside the studio, you choose and bring your subject of flowers or fruit, and you may prefer to borrow photos for a botanical painting.

Felbrigg has a reputation for challenging and enjoyable trails, all you have to do is solve the clues and there will be an Easter egg prize for each participant.

Willow Weaving Workshop

Tuesday 19 March, 9.30am – 2.30pm

Come and learn how to make your own wigwam plant support for next season using willow, dogwood, hazel and other foliage.  Please bring apron, thin gloves and secateurs.  Coffee on arrival.

Come and find out more about volunteering opportunities at this magnificent moated property. A variety of roles available to suit all interests – meeter and greeter, room steward, garden volunteer, garden steward, catering, learning, raffle ticket seller, office work and more.
