A change of plan today meant Barn & Beach couldn’t make the trip to the cathedral (N – should have been Norwich cathedral), such a pity as the Peregrine falcons are sitting on eggs and the team in the churchyard have wonderful telescopes/binoculars set up for viewing these magnificent birds, if you haven’t been do try and pop by…

House bound at the barn a quick decision to highlight some future events coming to Norfolk with the Norfolk & Norwich Festival.

The venues across the region are numerous The Forum will host ‘The Peoples Tower on the 10th, Chapelfield Gardens The Garden Party 17th & 18th, going indoors musical performances will be held at St Andrews hall, Norwich cathedral, Holkham Hall, Wymondham Abbey, Norwich Playhouse, Octagon Chapel Norwich, St Peter Mancroft Church Norwich, Diss Corn Hal, Arts Centre and Music Room Assembly House Norwich really a massive choice and something for everyone?

Kings Lynn Corn Exchange and Norwich arts Centre also host performance.

There are visual arts and the City of Literature in the city too. Children have their own space Not Now Bernard and a family film morning among the billing.

The Adnams Spiegeltent, Chapelfields gardens,described as an iconic venue will events as well as providing refreshments over 11 days 14th to 25th.

History of the Festival

“There are origins traced back to 1772, however, it became an annual event in 1998, establishing itself as one of the Uk’s largest and best-loved multi art-form festivals”

Whilst most of the events are in the city there are some opportunities to catch the festival in the provinces too, always keep your eyes peeled whilst out and about as many parishes hold events that can often surprise and thrill, enjoy North Norfolk and Norwich this spring.
