D – Days out with the Dog

Arriving in Norfolk another stroke of luck fell on Barn & Beach, a new word was added to the language ‘Staycation’, it became all of the rage. Many people beleaguered by tight security and long delays at the airport had decided to stay in good old Blighty.

The Staycation was born or invented and we were just about to welcome guests! Once we started booking another question sprung to the fore, “can we bring the dog”? One well behaved pet is now a catchphrase and without it I think Staycation or not our beach would be a lot emptier.

It made me smile that as I prepared for an arrival today at a clients property I found this note the owner had left for me –

Dog owners are absolutely thrilled to find on arrival the Norfolk cream tea for them comes with a special goody bag for ‘Fido’ too.

Now we are not much dog people at Barn & Beach so a couple of years back in 2012 we had a very well known  professional computer boff who also happens to love, dogs, Norfolk and blessed with great local knowledge gained through personal experience give us some tips to pass on to visitors and guests alike…its a great blog take a peek.

  1. Hi, I’ve just found your blog from the A-Z Challenge, although I’m not actually taking part this year. I was interested because you write about Norfolk, which has been my ‘second home’ since my first holiday there in 1982. I camp alone now with my two little dogs and have at least one break each year at a site in California just north of Yarmouth – many of the places you write about have been photographed and written about in my own blog so I’m really looking forward to reading more of yours.
