A Norfolk Breakfast,

It’s not the easiest county to get to Norfolk; nobody is passing through, going somewhere else and stopping off for the night like you might in say the midlands travelling north south or south north. You have to want to come to Norfolk; it’s a destination, a place to travel to. You should try Barn & Beach!

There are no motorways in this county, so no need for motorway service stations, there are one or two major trunk roads, the A11and A47 are two that come to mind, I don’t know if they have service stations, there appear to be a few roadside ‘Little Chef’ type stops for the weary traveler.

I haven’t been in a little chef for years, I read somewhere that Heston Blumenthal was helping them out, making them twenty first century with great menus? A real find for the mutual parties and its sure Heston would have an impact.

If you want a truly great menu when you travel to Norfolk try one of its hundreds of B & B establishments, you can find them in the three major Norfolk centres, Norwich, Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth or travel out a little into the Broads, up to the coast or into the vast expanse of its countryside.

Out on the coast Meadowside Barn near the village of Ridlington in North Norfolk is a great place to sample a taste of Norfolk. A Converted agricultural barn, formerly the home to hay bales, cattle or other livestock. Now a family home and a Norfolk B&B a relaxing place to stay, for a weekend, a week or a day.

We pride ourselves on quality, accommodation, furnishings, fixtures, and the standard of equipment we provide for our guests.

Mostly we have pride in our welcome and the food we serve to the guests, they sit in the open plan kitchen at a big table, the kind that’s become fashionable in many eating establishments, maybe Heston has them? Where you would sit next to a complete stranger and enjoy the ambiance and grub.

The Norfolk B&B is just the place, as the name suggests to take and enjoy Breakfast, good quality produce locally sourced, peace and quiet and great views all add to a bootiful way to start your day…
