Be Norfolk,
is a recent concept being led by Norfolk County Council.

I was Invited to a recent gathering by Visit North Norfolk in conjunction with “experience” providers, holiday companies and accommodation providers, such as  Barn & Beach. 

I went along to see what it is all about and found Be Norfolk to be a worthwhile project to follow.

What is Be Norfolk?

Below is an explanation  from the Be Norfolk website; 

The BeNorfolk platform has been created by EXPERIENCE, a €23.3 million project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (€16 million) through the Interreg France (Channel) England Programme. It is designed to develop the experiential off-season economy in a sustainable way. The project runs from September 2019 to June 2023 and involves 14 partners in France and England. It is managed by Norfolk County Council, which is piloting sustainable approaches to tourism. EXPERIENCE aims to capitalise on the emerging global trend for local tourism and engagement with the great outdoors, heritage, and culture.

The Be Norfolk seminar in Taverham at the Roundwood Function & Conference Centre made for an enjoyable day with lots of networking opportunities and presentations. The joined up thinking and planning of all involved really is quite good.

From a visitors perspective I would wholly recommend Barn & Beach guests use the website  https://benorfolk.co.uk/activities/ to find opportunities and ideas for your days out. There are exciting projects you may never have thought about. A visit could make your vacation!
