Days out with the dog – Norfolk
By webchoiceadmin On April 25, 2012 · Add Comment · Days out with the dog – NorfolkNorfolk, is there any better place to spend days out with the dog? Many of our guests at Barn and Beach think not and book to come back every year. Norfolk offers great days out with the dog so we have compiled some hints and tips for making the most of days out with the dog:-
Dog friendly beaches – you are truly spoilt for choice for wonderful beaches in Norfolk. Our favourite all year round dog friendly beaches are Holkham beach, Winterton and Wells plus Ostend to Happisburgh beach is definitely worth a visit.
Forest walks – there are plenty of forest days out with the dog to enjoy in Norfolk. Bacton Wood, Holt Country Park, Sandringham Country Park are the most popular with our guests and their dogs!
Dog friendly pubs/places to eat – after a good day out there is nothing better than enjoying an evening at the local pub with the dog curled up in front of the fire. We could write a list of dog friendly pubs but ones you should try and visit; Jolly Sailors Brancaster, The Red Lion at Coltishall, The White Horse at Holme-Next-The-Sea– for more suggestions please feel free to ask.
General walks – whether you want a short stroll or fancy something a little longer the walks in Norfolk are truly amazing. Having walked nearly all of them including the Norfolk Coastal path, there really is no better way to enjoy Norfolk. If you get the chance and have the time it is worth the 93 miles and you will not be disappointed!
A day on the broads – If after a busy few days out with the dog you fancy a more leisurely day then a day out on the Norfolk broads is a must. We have wonderful places to explore while you meander around the broads make sure you stop off for ice cream or a cold drink while enjoying the Norfolk sunshine. Try Freedom Cruisers who are happy for dogs to get their Norfolk broads legs.
Doggy day bag – finally don’t forget to ensure you have prepared for your great days out with your dog; we always take a pack (which some people have their dogs carry) with water, water bowl, first aid kit, dogs treats (of course!) and bags for picking up their little presents.
These are just some of our hints and tips for enjoying days out with your dog but please do share your perfect days out too. We would love to hear about them.
Thank you for the sensible critique on http://www.barnandbeach.com . Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such great information being shared freely out there.
I truly find this a interesting subject. Never looked at this subject in this manner. If you are planning to create more articles relating to this subject, I definitely will be back in the near future!
Strange , your posting turns up with a black hue to it, what color is the primary color on your web-site?
